Fun, free time, natural surroundings and good company: the Salvation Army Stiegelschwand youth centre is perfect for children and young people, and ideal for school holiday camps, training sessions, courses, and music groups of all kinds. The youth centre enjoys a wonderfully peaceful yet central location high above Adelboden. It is surrounded by abundant greenery and benefits from a magnificent Alpine view.

The Salvation Army invites teens, adults and children to the winter camp for the whole family in Adelboden!
Ski, snowboard, toboggan, hike; each according to his interests!
Evening moments of communion, with games, laughter and creative activities.

Prepare to be amazed!
The Choleren gorge really makes a big splash. The 100-metre-long gorge underwent extensive maintenance work in 2004 and has been fitted with stairs and bridges throughout.
The gorge is home to some impressive waterfalls as well as a host of watermills and rocks that have been polished by the flowing water.
The hike along the gorge is particularly impressive just after it has rained – though it’s best tackled uphill as the path can be-come slippery.

Restaurant Schermtanne offers regional specialities and excellent Swiss wines.

There’s lots to discover for the whole family at the Tropenhaus Frutigen, including interactive exhibition experiences, an inte-grated fish farm and a tropical garden.
Vogellisi hiking trail
Reopens on 13 July 2019!
The adventure hiking trail starts at Sillerenbühl cable car mountain station (1,974 metres above sea level).
It leads to Bergläger (1,488 metres above sea level) and then back into the village.
Total trail length: 3.5 kilometres.
The trail features 11 varied stations in all.

Pure hiking fun!
The Adelboden – Frutigenhiking trail network:
a 300km network of hiking trails, marked cycling and mountain bike routes, nordic walking trails and much more besides.
The youth centre is located in Adelboden (Berner Oberland, Switzerland), around 2km from the village centre. The chalet is accessible by car (6–10 parking spaces available). There is a vehicle ban on coaches. Access to the road is only permitted for vehicles weighing up to 18 tonnes.
In winter the local bus service stops directly in front of the house every hour (mid-December through to roughly the end of April). In summer the bus stops in front of the house twice in the morning, twice around midday and twice in the early evening. You can find the timetable . here (in German).

When you stay at the youth centre, you will be charged a tourist tax.
Paying the tourist tax entitles you to the Adelboden-Frutigen Guest Card, which gives you free access to public transport as well as a host of discounts.
